In Eritrea there is no filing or registration procedure, publication of cautionary notices is the only way to protect a trademark there.
However, although the publication of Cautionary Notices is essentially an informal arrangement, they must be first approved by the Eritrean Government. Regrettably, and without providing any explanation, the Government has suspended publication of all notices.
